Boko Haram

Chadian children, numbering 43, have escaped from notorious group, of Boko Haram.
According to the spokesman for the Chadian Army, Col. Azem Agouna, the children were kidnapped and forced to become child soldiers.
He said the children, who were found in Damasak, in Borno state, had escaped during the clashes between the terrorists and soldiers.
They were reportedly hidden by residents of the village.
Agouna said the children came out of their hideouts after it was evident that the Boko Haram militants have been sacked from the town. They approached the Chadian security forces for help.
The children, who were said to be 12 years and above, were repatriated on Wednesday, April 22.
The Nigerian and Chadian army had recaptured Damasak, which was under the rule of Boko Haram, in early March.

"Your Excellency may recall that Nigeria was re-elected President of the AFLPM at the 7th Summit in Abuja in July 2012. With the recent election in my country and a new government coming on board from May 29, 2015, it has become necessary to convene an emergency summit of the AFLPM to facilitate a smooth and formal hand over to the new Executive Committee that will pilot the affairs of the Peace Mission for the next two years. The Emergency Summit is proposed for Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Interim Secretariat of the African First Ladies Peace Mission, Abuja by 2pm. The Summit will, however, be preceded by the 4th meeting of the Executive Bureau by 9am, on May 15 at the same venue. The Bureau Meeting is for members of the Executive Bureau, comprising South Africa, Sudan, Cameroon, Libya and Congo Brazzaville. In the light of the above, may I appeal to Your Excellency to give utmost consideration to attending the Emergency Summit in order to ensure that our organisation maintains its current momentum. We will deeply appreciate your kind early response to help us in planning the Summit, in view of limited time available to us.”

Japan's maglev train sets world record: 603 kph

A Japan Railway maglev train hit 603 kilometers per hour (374 miles per hour) on an experimental track in Yamanashi Tuesday, setting a decisive new world record.
A spokesperson said the train spent 10.8 seconds traveling above 600 kilometers per hour, during which it covered 1.8 kilometers (1.1 miles).
That's nearly 20 football fields in the time it took you to read the last two sentences.
Takeo Ookanda, who runs an exhibition center next to the test track, said witnesses erupted with excitement and applause when the new record was set.
"I was moved just like many other visitors here today," he told CNN. "This maglev project... (increases) the hope that Japan can have a good growth again in the future."

    Fastest in the world

The train broke its own record from last Thursday, when it ran at 590 kilometers per hour (366 miles per hour) on a test track.

That beat the old record of 581 kilometers per hour (361 miles per hour), which was set in 2003 during another Japanese maglev test.
Right now, China operates the world's fastest commercial maglev, which has hit 431 kilometers per hour (268 miles per hour) on a route through Shanghai.
By contrast, the fastest train in the United States, Amtrak's Acela Express, is only capable of 241 kilometers per hour (150 miles per hour), though it usually plods along at half that speed.

    Look ma, no tracks!

Unlike traditional trains, maglev trains work by using magnets to push the train away from the tracks and drive the train forward.

Japan's maglevs don't use metal tracks — instead, they float nearly 10 cm (4 inches) above special guideways, allowing for frictionless movement.
Japan Railways has been testing their train to figure out the best operational speed for a planned route between Tokyo and Nagoya, scheduled to begin service in 2027.
That trip can take nearly 5 hours by car. But in the future, a maglev train could finish the journey in 40 minutes.

Ludacris babymama Tamika Fuller, leaks Explosive emails between herself and Chris

A few weeks ago, rapper and actor Ludacris was awarded full primary custody of his 1 year old (on break) daughter Cai Bella Bridges after proving her mother, Tamika Fuller, was unfit to care for her. Tamika has since been trying to get her child back. But realizing that would be difficult, Tamika, with nothing to lose, 'allegedly' leaked heartless email exchange between herself and Ludacris. And MediaTakeOut got their hands on it.
     See it after the cut...

This is allegedly an exchange between Ludacris and Tamika where Ludacris forbids Tamika from FaceTiming with their daughter and threatens to take her out of school unless Tamika pays for it.

    MC Galaxy Attacked by Davido

An incident happened 3 days that a few industry people have called my attention to and want it public so it will not repeat itself. Sekem crooner MC Galaxy was attacked and badly injured on Wednesday night April 15th at producer Shizzi's studio in Lekki. According to a reliable industry source, MC Galaxy, Davido (they have collaborated before) B-Red, Shizzi, Davido's driver, a guy named Lati and other HKN members were at Shizzi's studio working and laughing when suddenly things turned ugly.

According to someone who witnessed the beat down, trouble started after MC Galaxy told B-Red that he (Galaxy) was more popular than him (B-Red). B-Red didn't agree and they went back and forth. Then an HKN Gang member, who is a Ghanaian artist, told MC Galaxy that he was not funny as a comedian. MC Galaxy replied, telling him that he was an unknown artist, and they went back and forth yabbing each other. They said all of a sudden Davido came out from the studio and asked MC Galaxy to leave. Continue...

"David didn't like that Galaxy was yabbing his boys and asked him to leave. Before Galaxy could react, David hit him on the back. Then his driver, Lati, took over, punching Galaxy and then hit him on the head with an Orijin bottle. B-Red didn't touch Galaxy and Shizzi was very upset about what was happening in his studio and tried to stop the fight. Shizzi was really upset that Galaxy was attacked. If you see MC Galaxy's eyes now"
though when contacted MC galaxy admitted to have been attacked  by davido and his driver but never wanted things to go public

Drake not grossed up by Madonna's kiss

Drake was not grossed out when Madonna planted a prolonged lip-lock on him at Coachella Sunday night ... his reaction was all about lipstick aftertaste.
Sources close to Drake tell TMZ ... he loved the kiss. As for whether the kiss was prearranged, Drake says it wasn't ... the plan was for Madonna to dance around him while he sat in the chair.
Drake says he was not banking on a transfer of the glossy stuff and that's why he blanched.
When you look closely at the pictures, it looks like whatever lipstick there is it's pretty colorless ... either nude or beige.

OBJ meets with president elect Gen. Buhari Privately.

A private meeting was held without the presence of any external person(s), between former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, in Lagos.
The pair reportedly met at the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport for almost an hour.
The sit-down between the two ex-Generals took place on Tuesday, April 8, when the All Progressives Congress leaders came to Lagos to campaign for the party’s governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode.
The meeting was held shortly before heading out to campaign in the Orile area of the state.
A member of Buhari’s entourage told Punch Newspapers that: “Gen. Buhari and former President Obasanjo were in the inner lounge of the presidential wing of the airport where they held a secret meeting for almost an hour.”
“The National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Chris Ngige and many of us were made to stay at the main lounge throughout the meeting. We do not really know what was discussed but it must have been very sensitive.”

Oby Ezekwesili Responds To Oba Akiolu's Blustery

    Oby Ezekwesil
Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, is among several Nigerians who have strong words for Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, over his ‘gutter’ threat against the Igbos if they do not vote for APC’s gubernatorial candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Saturday. Ezekwesili, the Coordinator of BringBackOurGirl campaign, expressed shock at the utterance of the monarch, who reportedly threatened the leaders of the Igbos, whom he addressed in his palace on Saturday, with death if they refused to support efforts to vote Ambode as Lagos State governor on April 11.
She said, “It was shocking to hear applause by the audience at the meeting where Oba of Lagos made those statements. Kai, citizens, you’re better than this!

Somali militants threaten 'another bloodbath' in Kenya

Somali militants threatened Saturday to stage "another bloodbath" in Kenya following their assault this week on a university in which they killed 147 people in Garissa.
The threat drew a sharp response from Nadif Jama, the governor for Garissa county.
"The fallacy and satanic mindset of Al Shabaab is that in Somalia, they kill Muslims and Somalis," Jama said. "They cross the border here and then say they are killing non-Muslims. That is a tricky way of doing business."
Jama said the militants were "bent on nothing but destruction" and aimed to sow division between Muslims and non-Muslims.
"But that is something we need to fight," Jama said.
Kenyan police have arrested five suspects in connection with Thursday's attack at Garissa University College, not far from Kenya's border with Somalia, which left 147 people dead, Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery said Friday.

Al-Shabab militants kill 147 at University campus

Militant group, Al-Shabab, stormed a university in northeastern Kenya at dawn on Thursday April 2, killing scores of people in the sect's bloodiest attack in the country, officials said.
CNN reports that the attack left about 147 people dead and dozens injured.
The terrorists took hostages during a 15-hour siege until they were killed by security forces. Christians and converts to Islam appeared to have been the targets.
More than 550 students were evacuated in the standoff on theGarissa University campus located about 90 miles from the Somali border, government officials said. The Somali-based Islamic terrorist group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack — the al-Qaeda-linked organization's deadliest in Kenya.
Students said the gunmen separated Christians from Muslims and held hostages in a dormitory, Kenya's National Police Service said. Explosives were reportedly staged around the Christian hostages. School officials said students reported the gunmen attended morning prayers at the campus mosque before heading to the dorm.

Kenyan Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery said some students were also killed during morning prayers at the mosque.
A student at the university, Jackson Kamau, said the militants killed those who were likely converts to Islam. Locals can differentiate between Somali Muslims born into Islam and those who have converted because they come from different ethnic groups.
"We'll not allow terrorists to divide our country on religious lines," majority leader in Kenya's National Assembly, Aden Duale, said.
Most of the 147 dead were students, but the two security guards, one policeman and one soldier also were killed in the attack, Nkaissery said.

Heavy gunfire erupted at the college as the Kenyan military worked to end the siege. Police Inspector General Joseph Boinett said a dusk-to-dawn curfew will be in place in Garissa and three neighboring counties starting Friday, April 7 through April 16.
The White House strongly condemned the attack and said the United States was providing assistance to the Kenyan government.
"We extend our deep condolences to the families and loved ones of all those killed in this heinous attack, which reportedly included the targeting of Christian students," White House spokesman Josh Earnest said in a statement.
Kenyan police are offering a $220,000 bounty for Mohammed Mohamud, also known as Dulyadin and Gamadhere, who they believe is the mastermind of the attack.
Al-Shabab has carried out several attacks in Garissa and across Kenya in the past few years, including the 2013 attack at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi that left 67 people dead, and others on mosques in Mombasa, a coastal city in the east

In an email sent to reporters claiming responsibility for the bombing which occurred  on April 2nd, the spokesperson of the group, Priest Omodjuvwu, said the group, which consist of ex-militants, men, women & children of Urhobo origin, decided to blow up the oil pipeline following the continued neglect of the Urhobo militants in the pipelines protection contracts offered to ex-militants from other ethnic groups.

Spokesperson of the militant group, Mr Omdjuvwu said they decided to blow up the pipeline to draw government attention and demand to be included in the pipeline protection contracts.
"We have now resumed attack on the NPDC pipeline facilities on a massive scale, which scale of bombings shall be unprecedented,” the email read
